The Opportunity Join Aggregate Industries as a Assessor & Trainer, where you'll play a key role in developing the next generation of skilled quarry professionals. Based at Torr Works Quarry, this role involves assessing candidates against vocational qualifications (VQs), delivering mobile plant and operational training, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. If you're passionate about training, development, and safety in quarry operations, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a lasting impact. Conduct on-site assessments of candidates against the qualification syllabus. Deliver mobile plant training and other quarry-based operational training. Motivate and support candidates to complete inter-assessment workbooks and coursework. Collaborate with business management to ensure candidates receive necessary support. Identify additional training needs to ensure candidates meet required competency levels. Compile portfolios and collect evidence in the required format for external verification. Provide feedback to VQ Centre Management and business leaders to enhance training programs. Who You Are You’re a dedicated and knowledgeable Assessor & Trainer with experience in quarry operations and a passion for developing people. Your ability to assess competency, provide clear feedback, and manage training programs makes you an essential part of the workforce development team. Strong background in quarry operations, processing environments, and health & safety management. Excellent organisational and leadership abilities, with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Understanding of vocational assessment techniques, with experience in compiling assessment portfolios. Must hold or be willing to obtain the Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA) or have previously held an A1 Assessor qualification. Comfortable using digital platforms such as C&G Learning Assistant and iAuditor for document and assessment management.
