Based on site at HMP Norwich, our Student Support Administrators provide comprehensive administrative support across high-profile contracts. Within your role you will be responsible for ensuring that the administration systems and processes operate in a timely and effective manner, adhering to all quality standards. You will also be the first point of contact for prisoners, conducting prisoner inductions into the education provision promoting available courses to potential learners and providing ongoing advice and guidance. The role also includes the recruitment of learners for courses, maintaining accurate records of achievement linked to initial assessment, close liaison with partner agencies and the prison allocation and activity team. What are we looking for? You should have a passion for what you do along with relevant and recent experience within an administration environment. You will hold an NVQ Level 2 Business Administration qualification or equivalent (Level 3 desirable), and be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of IT based systems including Word, Excel and Access packages. An Information, Advice and Guidance qualification is desirable. You will need to have good organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise workload accordingly while demonstrating excellent communication skills, written and verbal, including the ability to build rapport with a wide range of individuals and maintain a high level of confidentially at all times. You will need to be results focused and have the personal drive and resilience to overcome hurdles and barriers.
