About the role
We are currently looking for Traffic Management Chargehand and Operatives to undertake Traffic Management on Cormac's Surfacing and Civil Engineering sites. This is a great opportunity for you to develop a career within Cormac.
We are looking for enthusiastic, positive-minded individuals to be responsible for setting up traffic management to Sector Scheme 12D and marshal traffic and pedestrians through and around the site once works are being carried out.
The individuals will be the first people members of the public will meet on works sites; therefore, the candidates need to be polite, courteous, positive, and well-mannered.
Some duties will include:
* Undertaking a range of tasks requiring some specific practical skills.
* Ensuring the safety of yourself, colleagues, and the public.
* Responsible for utilising the appropriate personal protective equipment.
* Reporting safety incidents including near misses.
* Ensuring that good environmental practices are observed.
About you
We are looking for you to bring:
* This position can be physically demanding, and candidates should possess resilience particularly with regard to adverse weather conditions.
* Must have a UK Driving Licence.
* Team player with good communication skills and a positive attitude.
* Ability to achieve CSCS Registration or equivalent in a related area.
* Proven ability to supervise staff delivering a wide range of manual tasks.
* Health and Safety knowledge/qualifications.
* Traffic Management knowledge.
