About the Role: Deliver engaging and challenging Music lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, following relevant examination specifications. Plan and prepare high-quality lessons that cater to a variety of musical interests and abilities, ensuring all students are challenged and supported. Utilize a range of teaching methods and resources, including instrumental instruction, vocal training, music theory, composition, and music technology, to enhance student learning. Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning journeys. Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Music examinations, ensuring they have a strong understanding of assessment criteria. Contribute to the development of the Music curriculum and resources, ensuring it is inclusive and reflects the diverse musical interests of our students. Foster a love of music in students, encouraging them to develop their musical skills, creativity, and appreciation of different musical genres and cultures. Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment. Contribute to extracurricular activities and enrichment programs related to music, including school choir, band, orchestra, and liturgical music. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Strong subject knowledge in Music. Demonstrated ability to teach across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. Experience in preparing students for GCSE and A-Level Music examinations. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and musical skills. Ability to inspire and motivate students of all musical abilities. A passion for music and a commitment to fostering creativity and artistic expression within a Catholic ethos.
