Position Summary Why join our team? Join us to lead Samsung’s Consumer Sales Channel in conjunction with the Heads of Sale(s) and their teams. The Sales Director is responsible for leading the team to design the strategic agenda and sales plan to achieve Samsung’s Consumer goals aligned to Samsung UK Country strategy. Reporting to the Senior Director [MX Sales], the Director of MX Sales [Consumer Channels] is a respected decision maker and leader that ensures channel performance and delivery of Samsung’s strategy in the UK. The ultimate goal to significantly grow market share above current business aspiration delivering upside both in terms of volume, value and share to maintain leadership for Samsung within the UK consumer electronics market. Role and Responsibilities Your key responsibilities [Team Leadership] Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. [Sales target setting] Lead & set the optimal sales target that will drive the growth of the business organisation and encourage employee morale. [Sales strategy] Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve sales targets using market, product, and competitor data analysis. [New sales opportunity identification] Lead in the identification of new sales opportunities in order to build the foundation for continued growth in revenue and profit. [Sales organisation design] Lead the Consumer sales organisations and associated workforce to ensure the best allocation of resources to deliver key sales initiatives and achieve revenue targets. [Relationship Management] Develop and maintain C-Level relationships with important clients, partners, and collaborators to improve external and internal partner relations. [Compliance] Ensure all sales activities align with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards. Your key people management responsibilities – Leading Others Only Provide clarity on strategy, team purpose & value and define the key areas of focus and direction. Support the development of your team through regular mentoring, coaching and feedback, 1:1s and on the job learning opportunities. Role model inclusion for your team to build trust and psychological safety. Ensure communication with your team is a core focus area including cascade of information from LT’s and relevant business updates. Lead the on boarding, off boarding process and the entirety of the colleague lifecycle process for all team members. Handle all annual people management cycles such as goal setting, evaluation and salary reviews to a high quality and in a timely manner. To be responsible for ensuring your team aligns with our processes and procedures; such as meeting mandatory business cyclical deadlines and understanding what we value. What we need for this role To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics or equivalent experience. MBA preferred. Significant experience in a sales management leadership role at a senior level, preferably within the technology or consumer electronics industry. Proficiency in sales aggregation, analytics and mutual profit creation. Demonstrable ability to manage high-impact / large-scale projects / initiatives Organisational leadership and team management skills. Committed to achieving targets and delivering results. High level of integrity and professionalism. Innovative and adaptable, with a proactive approach to challenges. Track record of developing future leaders What does success look like? Proven Sales Leadership experience leading teams in within consumer electronics Extensive experience in Carrier.
