We are looking for Day engineers to come and join our team! You will be working with premium brands and also own label. You will help to improve efficiencies across the plant and maintain our machines.
What does this corker of a job entail?
* Overseeing and undertaking accurate and efficient changeovers
* Providing on-the-job training to members of the production team
* Ensuring continuous improvement of machinery performance through the accurate recording/reviewing of the main downtime causes and solutions, and the implementation of engineering improvements
* Ensuring effective shift handovers by liaising with other production technicians
* Ensuring the effective and safe operation of all machinery and reporting all failures to the Engineering Shift Manager
* Liaising closely with the other members of the engineering department to ensure maximum performance of the production machinery
* Adopting a flexible approach within a fast-moving environment by recommending and supporting improvement initiatives to improve line and individual performance
* Fully cooperating with the ongoing requirement for personal/team training and development to achieve the main job purpose
* Ensuring all documentation and record systems are maintained to high standards on a daily basis in accordance with ISO 9001:2000
* Maintaining a high degree of both product and personal safety in accordance with HSE, EHO and HMCE requirements
* Ensuring adherence to all legislative requirements by implementing and auditing risk assessment controls and HACCP
Key Ingredients
* Recognised indentured apprenticeship or appropriate recognised engineering training programme
* Recognised Qualification in Electrical Engineering
* Recognised Qualification or adequate experience in Mechanical Engineering
* Experience of working within an FMCG environment correcting both mechanical and electrical faults
* Bottling plant experience would be an advantage
* Able to communicate at all levels
* Ability to maintain a high level of discipline associated with the daily compliance of hygiene standards and the safe operation of factory equipment
* To be able to progress within the role and the department knowledge of Siemens PLC would be advantageous
