Senior Project Manager – Lead High-Impact Energy Projects
We’re looking for an experienced, results-driven, and strategic Senior Project Manager to drive the successful delivery of complex energy projects worldwide. At RJM International, we don’t just deliver projects – we help shape the future of low-carbon energy.
If you have 10+ years of experience in engineering project management, a drive for making change in the global energy industry, and a track record of delivering projects on time, on budget, and to the highest technical standards, we want to hear from you.
As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll lead projects from £10k to £25m+, ensuring they run seamlessly from concept to completion. Your expertise in engineering, supply-chain management, contract negotiation, and onsite execution will directly impact the efficiency, reliability, and environmental performance of power and industrial plants worldwide.
Project Leadership & Execution
Plan, direct, and manage all technical, financial, and administrative aspects of projects.
Oversee projects from design and engineering through to construction, commissioning, and handover.
Define project goals, budgets, and schedules, ensuring they are met or exceeded.
Act as RJM’s primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
Develop and implement action plans to avoid delays, mitigate risks, and control costs.
Identify and mitigate risks – develop action plans to avoid delays and cost overruns.
Supply Chain Management
Evaluate bids and manage external subcontractors and engineering consultants.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and RJM’s Quality Management System (QMS).
Negotiate contract terms and scope changes with suppliers and clients.
Ensure projects are executed in accordance with client technical specifications.
Supervise construction subcontractors, ensuring work meets contractual and technical requirements.
Perform on-site engineering, commissioning, and start-up activities.
Conduct diagnostic testing and troubleshooting during project implementation.
Provide regular status updates and explore opportunities for additional work.
We value talent and expertise, but we also recognize potential. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
~10+ years’ experience in engineering project management on small and large projects
~ Prior knowledge of power plants, combustion systems, or emissions reduction technology.
~ Experience leading projects from concept to commissioning.
~ Strong competency with MS Office suite including Project
Bonus Points for:
PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent project management qualification.
Additional language skills.
