The Job Coach Role
Experience is not required as full training is provided. This is a unique role with no two days being the same, working across a wide range of host employment & learning settings.
This exciting opportunity working on our Supported Internships programme will provide you with a varied and interesting role as part of an award-winning team, offering job satisfaction that most other work cannot.
Job coaching can involve support with the completion of tasks, observations, creating prompts, checklists, task analysis, setting achievable targets, supporting communication skills, interview skills, and travel training where appropriate.
You will work with young adults with learning disabilities and/or Autism who have an EHCP (Educational Health and Care Plan), supporting them to identify suitable work placements and progress into paid employment.
You will help individuals with skills, qualifications, and job matching, liaising with learners and employers to support learners in developing their independence and reaching their full potential.
Key tasks will include:
* Working 1:1 with learners
* Group working
* Travel training
* Observations and prompts
* Working closely with employers & training providers
About You
We are looking for a range of transferable skills, including good organisation, self-motivation, and determination to support people to succeed. You must be passionate, committed, and share our values regarding employment opportunities for disabled and disadvantaged people.
You must hold a Full Driving License and have access to a vehicle for work. You will also be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check (Paid for by Right2work, T&Cs apply).
Term Time Only
Term Time Only pay is calculated based on the following:
* Weekly hours x Number of Teaching Weeks – 36 Weeks
* Pro rata annual leave entitlement and bank holidays
* 24 additional training hours
The total hours as above will be divided into 12 equal salary payments, which you will receive monthly.
