About the role
This role is central to maintaining the financial health of our organisation by delivering timely and accurate financial information. You will be part of a dynamic, fast-paced accounts team, managing a high volume of financial data processing while ensuring that internal systems remain accurate and up to date. Your efforts will ensure that accounts are well-maintained, payments are received on time, and financial processes run smoothly and efficiently.
A key aspect of this role is building and maintaining strong professional relationships with clients and colleagues across the corporate, client accounting, and property management teams. These relationships will be essential to your success, and you will be encouraged to take initiative in proactively resolving queries and continuously improving processes.
Reporting to the Head of Financial Accounting, you will serve as a crucial link between central and local services, supporting effective financial management and contributing to the overall success of the organisation.
Responsibilities will include:
* Processing incoming payments and allocating them to customer accounts
* Issuing customer statements, reminder letters, and handling other customer communications
* Managing credit control for allocated accounts, including issuing reminders and resolving outstanding payment queries
* Handling related customer queries, ensuring timely responses and resolution of issues
* Supporting mailbox management and ensuring all finance-related communications are handled efficiently
* Assisting with weekly bank runs, ensuring accuracy and smooth financial operations across systems
* Handling shop transaction paperwork, dealing with related queries, and working closely with the senior responsible for this area.
* Processing petty cash claims, ensuring accuracy and resolving any related issues.

* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues across teams.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and a passion for learning new systems.
* The ability to work under pressure, adapt quickly, and resolve issues accurately while providing effective solutions.
* Strong multitasking abilities, with experience coordinating multiple administrative tasks and processes within tight deadlines.
* High-level data entry skills in a fast-paced environment, ensuring accuracy at all times.
* Previous experience in a finance, accounts, or sales ledger role.
