Do you want to be a part of a business development bid team that makes a different to the society we live in, that will enable our business to win contracts all over the UK, this might be the role for you The Role: Reporting into the Head of Bid Management, you will be part of the Central Business Development Team, with a line into the planned/project works part of the business. Experience in planned works is essential for this role. You will work collaboratively to coordinate and lead on the submission of high-quality tenders and submissions. Responsibilities include: Leading and owning the creation of winning tender submissions Review all new opportunities with the SMT aligned with Bid Decision Process – Bid / No Bid decision Proactive management and leadership of each tender process. Ensure structure of the document reflects all requirements in a way that facilitates easy scoring Well written proposals from researched and orchestrated responses which convey operational, technical and commercial solutions in a clear and concise manner Design, collation, production and review of the final submission document including the ownership and writing of sections. Working as part of the bid team to produce high quality, customer focused documents Updating and integration of knowledge management within Document Management and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems Monitoring and reporting monthly Managing competing deadlines whilst maintaining the highest levels of quality in written work Role Criteria: Experience in planned/capital works Proven track record in managing bids Proven experience in writing high quality statements Experience of liaising with teams (particularly operators) in order to develop deliverable solutions Competency in MS Office software The ability to work to tight deadlines Ability to maintain a flexible attitude to work task and workload to ensure tender deadlines are achieved Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients. Ability to work on own initiative Project management Ideally educated to degree level You must have experience in Planned/Capital works to be considered for this role. We are also keen to meet a Bid Writer/Manager who has exposure within social housing or similar business sector, with the ability to work on their own initiative and have effective communications skills. Demonstrable experience of working well under pressure and of working flexibly to manage competing priorities.
