Your main tasks include, among others:
1. Self-management of workload to ensure the needs of the business are met
2. Application of Aerospace sealing compounds to manufacturers criteria
3. Ability to mix paint compounds to manufacturers criteria
4. Masking of components
5. Awareness of waste disposal management
6. Ability to use spraying equipment and general maintenance of such
7. An awareness and understanding of responsibilities outlined in the Company’s environmental procedures
8. Ability to work to productivity schedules and change priorities as required
9. Monitoring of booth and oven capabilities and understanding what is required to achieve maximum efficiency from these
10. You will be required to maintain Practical Experience Record (PER) book
11. You may be required to train personnel with a specified area subject to your qualifications and experience
The ideal Paint Sprayer should meet the following requirements:
12. Engineer apprenticeship preferably
13. Educated at least at GCSE level
14. Competent in the use of hand held spray equipment
15. Previous paint spraying experience in Aircraft components
16. Must have the ability to use polyurethane paints and epoxy primers
17. Well organised
18. Punctual
19. Quality conscious
20. Flexible
21. The ability to work within a team environment
22. Around 37.5 hours per week
23. Able to work shifts (06:00 – 14:00 and 13:55 – 21:55)
24. The position requires from time to time flexibility in working hours including working overtime at weekends
25. The job requires the applicant to understand manual handling
26. The ability to keep your working area clean and tidy
27. Must possess a legal work permit in the UK
