Bookkeeper/Finance Assistant - Bovey Tracey/Newton Abbot - £26,000 to £29,000
Acorn by Synergie is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper/Finance Assistant for their client based in Bovey Tracey, Newton Abbot.
Our client is a small, friendly company operating in the leisure industry. You must be a hands-on person who is happy to assist the Office Manager with various duties. To be considered, you must have experience using Xero & Clik software and be willing to support the Office Manager with general administration tasks. Experience with marketing is highly desirable.
Full-time: Monday to Friday, 9 am - 5 pm (one-hour unpaid lunch break) - £26k-£29K
Duties:
1. Maintaining purchase and sales ledgers.
2. Maintaining Clik invoicing from Job Sheets.
3. Resolving all invoice queries with suppliers and customers.
4. Managing credit control of overdue accounts and highlighting any issues to directors.
5. Collating and recording expenses, reconciling credit card statements, petty cash, and bank accounts.
6. Month-end duties including payment runs, journal entries, management accounting, and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
7. Submitting VAT returns.
8. Producing month-end accounts.
9. Liaising with external accountants.
10. Budgeting and forecasting.
11. Maintaining the engineer's timesheets for external payroll processing.
12. Timely payment of PAYE, VAT, and Corporation tax to HMRC.
