We are now looking for qualified practitioners (band 5 nurse / ODP) to join our scrub or anaesthetics teams who will be working out of the state-of-the-art Surgical Centre due to open at Victoria Infirmary in Northwich, Cheshire in April 2025.
This is an excellent time to join Mid Cheshire Hospitals as we have just started work on our Healthier Futures programme, developing services for the people of Cheshire well into the future, including a brand-new hospital at our Leighton site.

The new centre will have 2 new theatres as well as an Ophthalmic injection room. The department will undertake a range of procedures under local anaesthetic including Ophthalmic, ENT, General Surgery, Pain & Orthopaedics. The Theatre Management team is passionate about cultivating a safe and friendly environment for both staff and patients. We will ensure you get the development and training you need to progress in your careers and meet your potential.
About us
The Victoria Infirmary in Northwich provides a range of services to the local community, including a minor injuries unit, therapy services, and outpatients' clinics. The planned Cheshire and Merseyside Surgical Centre at Victoria Infirmary, scheduled to open in spring 2025, will treat around 12,000 patients each year in a state-of-the-art clinical environment. Our ambition is to treat a large number of 'high volume low complexity' patients from across the region who require less complex procedures. Amongst other specialties, the centre will be a cataract centre of excellence, providing eye care for the people across the region, reducing waiting times and greatly improving patient care.
