RAC has an exciting new opportunity for a Finance Manager in the FP&A team of Consumer Finance. This role is pivotal in supporting the Head of Planning & Reporting to embed a robust control environment and deliver consistent & timely consolidated reporting for the Consumer Division across month end, weekly trade updates and Budget & mid-year Forecast cycles. You will support strong communication within the Consumer Finance team between FP&A and the Finance Business Partnering teams for Acquisition and Retention, as well as the oversight of control, reporting and planning for payroll-related costs, sales operations costs and capex for the Consumer division. To be successful in this role you will bring experience of working in a large complex organisation with a passion for numbers and rock-solid controls, and an exemplary attention to detail with genuine enthusiasm for getting stuck into the figures. This will combine with strong stakeholder management, excellent communication within your team and with your stakeholders, and demonstrating credibility and gravitas through your interactions. This is a hybrid role, working two days a week in the Bradley Stoke office. What will you do Financial management of payroll-related costs, sales operations cost and capital expenditure covering: Provision of high-quality analytical information to support management Month end P&L and balance sheet preparation, including accruals and prepayments Support and challenge the budget and quarterly reforecast processes Deliver effective and efficient accounting producing timely and accurate numbers Demonstrate an understanding of cost and capex accounting policies Maintain strong controls in a dynamic environment including understanding appropriate tax treatments Drive adherence to internal purchasing and accounting processes Support all aspects of co-ordinating and consolidating financial planning for Consumer Roadside across weekly trade, quarterly forecasts and annual budgets What skills do you need Advanced user of Excel Qualified/part-qualified accountant Strong financial modelling and analytical skills Understanding of relevant commercial disciplines Good relationship management and influencing skills Good organisational skills Ability to assimilate information quickly Good communications skills – written and verbal In Return, we offer you FREE RAC Ultimate Complete Breakdown Service from Day One. 25 days annual leave entitlement plus bank holidays.
