We are the Information Intelligence Group (IIG) of CACI UK, a specialist software consultancy providing new bespoke solutions to solve our customers' complex operational problems. Defence forms one of our four Business Streams within IIG and as part of our growth strategy, we are looking to build on our existing presence in the MoD and related organisations and are seeking to appoint an experienced Senior Devops Engineer to join our team.
The Role:
As a Senior Devops Engineer at CACI IIG, you will join one of our fast-paced, agile delivery teams; using agile methodology and DevOps techniques to support critical in-service, live applications for the MOD. Our Senior Devops Engineers take a leading role in the delivery team, from looking after the more complex tasks through to managing relationships with our customers and taking accountability for delivering projects to agreed timelines. This will include ensuring the team are comfortable with their tasks and holding a broader oversight for what everyone within their team is responsible for.
You will oversee and play a leading role in the full project lifecycle including project concept formalisation; requirements analysis and specification; architecture design; solution implementation and delivery. You will be using your broad experience across a range of technical tools, languages and methodologies to implement high quality solutions and create innovative and effective solutions.
Responsibilities will include:
* Playing a leading role in supporting in-service, live applications
* Managing the secure development, test, deployment, release operate and monitoring of software products
* Design and operate automated CICD pipelines
* Design and operate shared Platform services for Deployment, Operation and Monitoring
* Design and Operate Platform services for containerised products using Kubernetes
* Write and deploy Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
* Deploy and operate products in public and private cloud environments (AWS, Azure, On-Prem)
* Support and advise teams as they onboard products to shared platform services
* Ensuring best practice Agile methodologies (including SCRUM & Kanban) are implemented and followed.
* Providing consultancy support to customers, assisting them with technology choices and solutions to complex problems
* Providing leadership and support to delivery team members as required
Due to the nature of the work, this role will be based 5 days per week from customer site.

* Experience working in agile environments using methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
* Highly Proficient with design tools including Figma.
* Working with customers and users to gather requirements and translating them into effective design solutions.
* Experience conducting user research using a variety of techniques.
Due to the industries we work in, we require the successful candidate to be able to obtain high-level security clearance. To qualify for this, you must be a British citizen and have lived permanently in the UK for the last 5 years.
