Why you:
You will be a CIPD-qualified HR Business Partner with considerable experience working in a technology or development organisation, with a passion about the video games industry. You will have excellent communication and relationship management skills enabling you to influence and challenge decision-making from a variety of internal and external stakeholders. Essentially, you will be process-driven and capable of independently leading, devising, and implementing new HR strategies and initiatives.
This is a part-time (3 days) role due to the size of the studio (c.50 employees) and as a Hybrid role has an expectation of at least two days per week in-office in our Farnham studio.
Responsibilities include:
Business Partnering:
* Partner with the Two Point Studios Leadership team in order to prioritise HR focus in line with studio strategy
* Engage in regular and effective communication with the Two Point Studios People Managers, and SEGA Head office HR team.
* Provide support to managers and employees around performance management, including appraisals, development plans, objective setting, and career development.
* Ensure early identification, intervention, and resolution of people challenges.
* Ensure Two Point Studios employee life cycle operations are managed impeccably (Recruitment, On & Off boarding, probation, long service, etc).
* Provide guidance to Leadership and people managers on organisational and team challenges in a compliant manner.
* Advise employees and management on policies, processes, and systems including but not limited to benefits, pensions etc.
* Champion and promote HR initiatives across the Studio.
* Identify opportunities and solutions for individual and team development needs, including training, coaching, and performance management.
* Drive diversity & inclusion initiatives.
Additional:
* Responsible for culture and employee development & wellbeing in the Studio.
* Manage employee relations activity as required and coach leadership team on ER matters and policy development.
* Understand and advise managers on relevant UK & Local Employment Law.
* Assist with ongoing review of policies and communications to ensure they are compliant and aligned with business and commercial goals across the whole company.
* Regularly review, analyse, and prepare insights based on available analytics to recommend future approaches and incentives.
* Provide coaching and guidance to studio operations team as required.
* Implement enterprise HR initiatives and advise on local considerations.
* Process improvements - assistance in identifying areas for process streamlining & drawing up process workflow documents as required.
* Updating, localising & producing copy /content for HR Communications channels.
* Development of learning & career development across the studio.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* CIPD Qualified (min level 5).
* Completer finisher able to structure own workload and manage competing priorities.
* Proven experience in resolving complex HR issues.
* Demonstrable knowledge and experience of organisational change.
* Knowledge and experience of UK Employment Law & HR Practices.
* The ability to influence and challenge decisions whilst building relationships.
* Experience using HRIS (Sage, PeopleSoft, Workday etc). with immaculate and logical records keeping ensuring a digital first approach
* Interest in Video Games, Video Games Development & the Games Industry is preferred but not essential.
