As Deputy Train Manager at Britannic Explorer, a Belmond Train, you are part of a team that ensures the smooth operation of our train while providing our passengers with a luxurious and memorable travel experience. In this role, you are responsible for supporting the service delivery on board and the day-to-day management of resources required to deliver optimum service both on the train and at excursion destinations. Primary Responsibilities Include:
* Providing exceptional customer service to passengers, ensuring their needs and expectations are met or exceeded.
* Supporting the Train Manager in overseeing all aspects of the train’s operations, including scheduling, staff management and logistics to ensure a seamless and punctual journey.
* Recruiting, training and managing a team of service professionals, ensuring that they deliver the service standards required.
* Ensuring the safety and security of passengers, crew and the train itself. Implementing and enforcing safety protocols and emergency procedures.
* Coordinating dining services on board, working closely with the culinary team to provide a fine dining experience.
* Managing onboard amenities and services, including entertainment, spa services and other luxury offerings.
Requirements
What You Bring:
* Applicants must have eligibility to work in the UK.
* 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within the luxury hospitality industry.
* A bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration or a related field is preferred.
* Strong leadership and management skills to lead and motivate a team of professionals.
* The ability to handle unexpected challenges and find creative solutions in a high-end service environment.
