Are you an excellent communicator with leadership skills? Are you empathic and responsive with some previous experience of working with mental health support? South Manchester has a long established team who is looking for a caring, energetic and innovative Service Manager to oversee and develop our South Manchester recovery services.
The South Manchester Mental Health services work with individuals in a variety of settings. The Service Manager role will come into a vibrant service model that has been proudly delivered by Creative Support for over three decades. The services are recovery focused and aim to further develop our Trauma informed care approach to respond to the housing, wellbeing and health needs of the adults we support. The post holder will get a direct and detailed handover from the previous Service manager who has done the role for nearly a decade. There is a small community team attached to the 7 accommodation services all services aim to support people to move into further independence and work on a skills and assets based approach.
The successful post holder will manage an experienced and dedicated senior team and oversee the service model across South Manchester. The successful post holder will have the support from and work in close liaison with other service managers across the Manchester city area.
We are seeking an individual who has a genuine passion for recovery based approaches. You will have a commitment to social housing and mental health support. The successful candidate will preferably have experience of assessment and referrals and have experience of risk management and service delivery.
The successful candidate will also have excellent interpersonal skills as you will have the opportunity to work regularly with other professionals in the sector.
You will receive full induction support and supervision and have interesting senior career opportunities. Creative Support has a comprehensive internal mental health training package and a thorough induction and onsite training will also be offered.
