Job overview
We are seeking an exceptional Estates Compliance & Quality Manager to join our Senior Leadership Team, directly reporting to the Director of Estates. This is a pivotal role responsible for implementing and maintaining compliance and quality management systems across our Trust properties.
What we're looking for:
* Proven experience in estates compliance and quality management.
* Strong knowledge of healthcare technical memoranda and building regulations.
* Experience with quality management systems and ISO standards.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical solutions.
Main duties of the job
What you'll do:
* Lead our Compliance Management System in accordance with ISO 37301.
* Manage the appointment process for Authorising Engineers, Authorised Persons, and Competent Persons.
* Develop and implement a comprehensive Quality Strategy for Estates.
* Oversee regulatory compliance with HTMs, HBNs, ACoPs, PAM, and the Health and Safety at Work Act.
* Lead the completion of mandated submissions including PAM and ERIC returns.

Person specification
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
* Degree in Building Services, related discipline, or equivalent experience.
* Must have additional post-graduate level knowledge either through a relevant Masters' qualification or equivalent experience.
* Qualifications related to ISO 9001.
EXPERIENCE
* Substantial specialist experience gained from working in a complex multi-site healthcare environment.
* Ability to summarise comprehensive data sets into Dashboards and reports for non-Estates people to understand.
* Ability to analyse data and produce reports using a range of software packages.
* Experience working with Quality Management Systems.
SKILLS, ABILITIES & KNOWLEDGE
* Highly organised and able to manage a complex workload.
* Able to work independently and exercise a high degree of professional judgement.
* Able to demonstrate the analytical skills and judgement required to identify/diagnose a range of defects and failures in relation to specific systems/equipment and what actions to take.
