Job Description:
This is a subcontract machine shop located in the Halesowen area in the West Midlands. The work involves small batch and one-off components ranging from aerospace to steam engines. They are currently seeking to recruit a milling programmer setter operator. Role and Responsibilities:
1. Programme, set, and operate CNC vertical milling machines to ensure efficient operation and proper machine setup for operators.
2. Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately, in both metric and imperial units.
3. Produce CNC programs to manufacture products on time and to exact customer specifications using OneCNC CAD/CAM software XR6.
4. Assist in developing new and existing manufacturing processes and procedures to optimize performance.
5. Responsible for machining own jigs and fixtures.
6. Train and develop other personnel within the cell.
Knowledge and Experience Required:
* Experience setting and programming Haas and Dai-Lih VMC machines with Fanuc controls.
* Experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Apprentice trained with at least 5 years of experience.

Hours and Salary:
The standard week is 40 hours, with shifts either from 6 am to 2 pm or 7 am to 3 pm, Monday to Friday.
Break times include one 20-minute break, which can be split into two 10-minute breaks if needed.
Occasionally, Saturday work may be required.
