Job summary In addition to the job purpose for a community midwife this post holder will also take responsibility for the coordination and effective management of mainstreaming genomic medicine into community midwifery services including referral pathways to Genomic Medicine and delivering education and training across the region. Main duties of the job Work alongside Genetic Counsellors and Clinical Geneticists to improve and develop referral pathways from Community Midwifery to Genomic Medicine. Deliver training and education sessions to Community Midwives. Work as part of the Genomic Medicine clinical team to ensure pregnant patients receive the best possible care. Provide update sessions to Genomic Medicine clinical team on relevant maternity processes and procedures.
