This Business Support Assistant will report to the Client Delivery Manager and will work within UKPN Services based in our Bury St Edmunds office. You will be a permanent employee.
You will attract a salary of £35,173 and a bonus of 3%. This role can also offer blended working after probationary period (6 months) - 3 days in the office and 2 remote

Job Purpose:
To provide commercial and office support services for the Bury St Edmunds Project Office.
Principle Accountabilities:
To work as a team with the Project Engineers, Managers and Planners to ensure staff are scheduled and utilised
Provide support for tenders, formatting documents and excel sheets
Place orders and follow up with manufacturers and suppliers
Manage the GR process when deliveries arrive
Operate work management tools and PC systems to assist with the coordination and completion of work
Record meeting notes and follow up actions
Reporting
Take and resolve face-to-face and telephone queries from internal and external customers
Support and co-ordinate the team training and delivery
Nature and Scope:
You will play an important role in the team responsible by supporting project delivery in the Bury St Edmunds Project Management office. Together with the Client Delivery Manager, Project Managers and Field Staff you will deliver an excellent service to our clients
Qualifications:
A basic understanding of the Electricity Network and the types of jobs undertaken is advantageous
Able to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a focused team
Good level PC literacy, with the ability to learn and use a variety of systems with fast and accurate keyboard skills (MS packages)
Knowledge of SAP is advantageous
Team working - The ability to work co-operatively with others to achieve shared goals and increase the contribution of all members of the team
Initiative - experienced in problem resolution
Flexible attitude to work and working hours
Build relationships with other staff and other teams within UK Power Networks Services and external Partners
Accomplished communicator
Excellent at organising and problem resolution
A technical understanding or a formal engineering, business qualification would advantageous
