Shift Pattern is 9:15pm- 08:15am on a Rota basis

Sherwood Street Centre is a 24-hour Homeless Hostel providing safe and supportive accommodation for individuals experiencing Homelessness. At the service we have 15 units of core accommodation for up to 16 individuals with complex needs, and 62 units of dispersed housing in the community. We offer tailored support to help people move towards independent living, we do not provide personal care.
As a night support worker, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, security and well-being of the residents during the night hours. You will be expected to provide practical support and understand the issues faced by people affected by homelessness, including housing support; substance use, mental health and use a trauma informed care approach.
You will manage any incidents that arise and respond appropriately to emergencies or safeguarding concerns whilst maintaining a respectful environment. As a night worker you will conduct regular welfare checks and monitor the access to the building. Completing accurate records and work collaboratively with other team members. Maintain cleanliness and complete cleaning tasks in the communal areas during the shift.
It is essential that you have experience of working with vulnerable individuals. This role is ideal for someone compassionate, resilient and able to remain calm under pressure.
