This fantastic Day Nursery is looking for a Nursery Manager - Maternity Cover to join their nurturing nursery. Are you looking for a new challenge? Are you interested in a supporting role? Look no further!
As Nursery Manager, you will need to provide the highest standards of compliance, care, and education for children and effectively manage daily operations of the nursery, including fostering positive partnerships with staff and parents.
The nursery is an Outstanding (Ofsted) setting with a capacity of 89 children from 6 months to 4 years. This role involves working 40 hours per week, with various shift patterns between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm. The nursery is open all year round, only closing on bank holidays and between Christmas and New Year. You will need a full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification and leadership experience. Salary is competitive based on qualifications and experience.
The nursery is located in the centre of Witham town, close to the train station.
Duties include:
* Understand and ensure compliance with the statutory framework for the EYFS throughout the nursery.
* Ensure company policies and procedures are embedded, applied, and adhered to by all staff.
* Facilitate inspections by regulatory bodies and implement recommendations.
* Embed an effective key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and identify staff training or development needs.
* Ensure all children receive stimulating and appropriate experiences, environments, and resources.
* Promote a culture of self-evaluation and reflective practice.
* Manage complaints or concerns promptly and thoroughly, informing senior management.
* Maintain accurate records related to children and staff on the EyMan system and files.
* Participate in nursery publications, advertising, public relations, website, and marketing activities.
* Promote positive relations with an approachable manner and availability to listen to your team.
Requirements:
* Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification - Essential
* Over 1 year's experience working in Early Years - Essential
* Sound knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - Essential
* Over 1 year's experience in a management position - Desirable
* Level 5 qualification in Childcare and/or Management and Leadership - Desirable
* Experience of passing an Ofsted inspection to good or outstanding - Desirable
