Elections will take place across Cambridge on Thursday 1 May 2025 and, if you are available to count votes on Thursday night, we want to hear from you.
The hourly rate paid is a night-time rate of £21 per hour (gross) with a minimum payment of four hours work.
With good numeracy skills and the ability to work under scrutiny, you will be responsible for checking and counting the votes cast in an assigned area, as part of a team of approximately six people. Working under supervision, you will be provided with guidance in advance and will be briefed at each stage of the count regarding what you need to do.
General Requirements
* At least 18 years of age
* Entitled to work in the UK (in accordance with the provisions of the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996)
Election staff must not work on behalf of a candidate or political party during the campaign, nor be related to a prospective candidate.
