I. Job Summary
Manage the Landfill Gas to Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) Facility to maximize production, ensure safety, environmental compliance, timely maintenance, and coordination with landfill management. The RNG Facility converts landfill gas into pipeline-quality natural gas for commercial and household use. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining equipment such as gas processing units, compressors, H2S removal systems, Nitrogen Removal Units, and Pressure Swing Absorbers.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Perform advanced instrument and control repair, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
* Capture data, evaluate performance, and operate within budgets, ensuring safety and compliance.
* Organize and manage plant outages and projects, maintaining detailed records.
* Operate advanced instrumentation and process control systems.
* Coordinate with vendors and customers for maintenance and compliance issues.
* Inspect machinery, perform repairs, and handle non-routine issues independently.
* Implement safety policies, complete mandatory safety and operational training.
* Procure supplies, manage vendors, and oversee the annual budget.
* Respond promptly to plant shutdowns, diagnosing and repairing issues during non-business hours.
* Maintain spare inventory and provide biannual inventory reports.
* Complete special assignments as directed by management.
* Work effectively as part of a team, communicating professionally across units.
* Follow safety protocols and operate PPE.
* Work on electrical systems, troubleshoot low voltage DC and AC circuits, and perform minor repairs.
* Utilize basic computer skills for communication and operations documentation.
III. Qualifications
Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED and 5 years in plant operations or maintenance.
Certificates and Licenses: Valid driver’s license in-state required.
Skills and Abilities: Data entry, fiduciary management, ability to lift 100 lbs, travel up to 15%, diagnose DC circuits, understand complex processes, basic building maintenance, and industry communication skills. Preferred: RNG operations, gas processing, pipeline operations, controls, project management, and related experience.
IV. Work Environment
Combination of office and plant environments, requiring standard office equipment use. This is a salaried position with potential overtime.
