About the role
Balfour Beatty is excited to invite applications for the role of Project Manager within our esteemed Ground Engineering team, specifically focusing on the SSI Crossing structure at Sizewell C.
This position is based in London, with travel across the UK, offering a unique chance to be part of a high-profile project.
What you'll be doing
As a Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in monitoring site performance and costs, ensuring the accurate execution of pile designs, and preparing quality assurance packs for our client.
Key responsibilities will be:
* Manage the project team and supply chain to deliver projects to time, cost, and quality targets and standards.
* Ensure safety targets and standards are maintained.
* Manage the customer relationship during delivery, including change and decision making, managing expectations.
* Manage external consultants (e.g. design) to enable delivery – driving value, customer focus and achievement of the project’s objectives.
* Ensure rigorous monthly project improvement processes are in place.
* Thorough implementation of planning, risk, project controls and change controls.
* Implementation of Lean principles throughout the project to drive productivity, performance and safety.
* Implementation of best practice commercial management
Who we're looking for
What we are looking for:
* Extensive Project Management experience within civils or marine civils.
* Experience of leading teams, and confidence in the ability to lead, influence and communicate with others to deliver targets are required.
* Financial awareness, with a desire to continuously improve safety and sustainability performance.
* An appropriate and valid CSCS card is required.
We would like you to have:
* Experience working for a piling, ground engineering, or civils subcontractor.
