Location: York, North Yorkshire
Salary: MPS/UPS: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum
Start Date: January 2025
GSL Education’s Hull branch is currently seeking for a dedicated and qualified Teacher of ICT and Computer Science in York, North Yorkshire, for a January 2025 start.
The potential candidate should be familiar with a range of techniques for delivering engaging and aspirational lessons. A strong level of subject knowledge and proven ability in this subject area is required.
As a teacher of ICT and Computer Science, you will:
* Deliver secondary ICT and Computer Science lessons, adapting schemes of work according to pupil’s abilities.
* Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students.
* Contribute to raising standards of engagement with student.
* Support the school’s responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth.
Computer Science & ICT Teacher Requirements:
* Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS) with UK-based teaching experience.
* Have recent experience teaching ICT and Computer Science.
* A proven track record of raising attainment within the ICT Department.
* Be a flexible, dedicated education practitioner, with a genuine desire to help young people overcome their barriers to learning.
* Be able to provide 2 relevant teaching references (placements will be accepted for Early Career Teachers).
* Hold an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for a new one with GSL Education.
