It is a national civilian police force, serving the MOD and other UK Government departments and you will work with Learning and Development Team helping to develop and shape the the future Leaders of the Force. This position is advertised at 37 hours per week. Job description As a Leadership and Manager Trainer you will design and deliver complex, extensive Leadership and development training, enabling the organisation to achieve its goals and individuals to fulfil their potential. The post requires a full range of teaching skills, facilitator skills, as well as coaching and mentoring skills. You will be required to use evidence - based approach to learning needs and learning outcomes to inform the design and development of training packages. You will design and develop learning programmes and sessions, identifying and incorporating training and learning methodologies that are capable of meeting individual and organisational learning needs with available resources and within specified timescales. Research, design, develop and maintain learning materials that enhance the learning and engage the learners. Foster and maintain a safe, inclusive and effective learning environment to enable learners engagement and participation Facilitate the contract with established mentors and coaches helping to establish clear targets or goals, how these outcomes are to be achieved, and how they will be evaluated. Hold coaching sessions, employing styles of coaching appropriate to the individual and their stage of development. Determine an appropriate assessment strategy and conduct learner assessments, to evaluate and record prior learning and the achievement of intended learning outcomes at appropriate points in the programme, and to meet internal or national verification standards. Analyse assessment results and, where relevant, construct and implement personal development plans to ensure that individuals achieve the intended learning outcomes. Utilise assessment analysis and stakeholder feedback to inform the development and continuous improvement of training interventions and overall learning experience within the organisation. Identify opportunities for and support the exploration of innovations and best practices in L&D, incorporating these into training approaches to improve the quality of L&D interventions and to support the enhancement of L&D practice across the organisation. Person specification The successful applicant will have the following attributes and skills: a. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to build a high performing and highly engaged team. b. Good written and oral communication, numeracy and computer literacy, including the use of Microsoft Teams, MS Forms as a minimum. c. Able to work at pace and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines. d. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Qualifications To hold a minimum of L4 AET or equivalent.
