We are seeking a talented and experienced Mechanical Designer to join our dynamic team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the mechanical design of our RFID readers and accessories, which can range from simple electronic product housings to complex, ergonomic, high IP/IK indexes mobile devices, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, functionality, and reliability.

As our Mechanical Designer, you’ll support HID’s success by:
* Developing detailed mechanical designs for new products and improvements to existing products.
* Creating 3D models and detailed drawings using CAD software.
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, contract manufacturers and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components.
* Conducting feasibility studies and simulations to validate design concepts.
* Performing design reviews and providing technical guidance to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
* Identifying and resolving design issues and implementing design changes as necessary.
* Preparing and maintaining comprehensive design documentation, including specifications, test plans, and reports.
* Supporting the manufacturing process by providing technical assistance and resolving production-related issues.
* Working closely with Contract Manufacturers to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet quality standards.
* Staying updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in mechanical design and technology.
Your Experience and Background include:
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
* Proven experience in mechanical design, preferably in the technology or manufacturing industry.
* Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, PTC Creo).
* Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical information clearly.
* Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to mechanical design.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Experience working with Contract Manufacturers.
* Knowledge of structural design and analysis is a plus.
