Job Description
:To support the security requirements of maintaining Operational Technology assets in line with cyber security policies and procedures. This covers a wide range of technologies including control systems, industrial PCs, firewalls, managed switches etc. We do not expect you to be an expert in all technologies and training will be given as part of the role development.

Job description:
* Backup of configurable devices on Operational Technology. This will range from complex gas
* terminals to simpler Above Ground Installations.
* Cyber data checks and updates to the Cyber Asset Management system. Ensure we have the correct asset management data is key to cyber risk management. This shall include network drawing assurance.
* Support the joiners, movers and leavers process to ensure that the credentials remain current across the Operational Technology. This reduces the risk from unauthorised access to our assets.
* Upgrade configurable devices as directed by security in line with vulnerability management
* requirements. An example could be upgrading an operating system on an industrial PC to an
* approved version.
* Where assets have been approved for removal then you will be asked to complete the cyber asset disposal process to ensure the assets are disposed of securely.
* Perform malware sweeps and support Cyber Security Incident Response Team as requested by security/cyber officers.
* Facilitate cyber assurance visits as requested by the central security function.
* Facilitate site access for upgrade projects such as our RIIO-2 cyber investment portfolio.
* Support with suspected cyber incident investigation as requested by the cyber officer.
* To add value and improve our cyber resilience by completion of cyber maintenance tasks.
* Ensure backups are completed for use as part of operational failure or cyber business continuity plans.
* Support upgrade projects on site specific queries, access for site surveys and construction.
* Ensure cyber data is kept up to date.
* Support with investigation of cyber alerts on Operational Technology.
* On call rota for key accountabilities is part of this role.
Knowledge, Experience and Technical Know How:Knowledge of standards, procedures, and general auditing policies associated with GasTransmission Operational Technology.
* Proven ability to complete maintenance on instrumentation, including organising, prioritising, and scheduling of work assignments.
* Ability to analyse and solve problems relating to instrumentation and related disciplines.
* Demonstrate ability to correctly interpret engineering drawings.
* Ability to analyse data and give correct interpretations
* Effective and explicit communication skills in both oral and written forms
* Ability to foster a friendly work environment for team members
* Computer skills: possess knowledge of Microsoft Suites, including Microsoft Word, Excel,
* and PowerPoint software
* Demonstrate a high level of integrity to be able to adhere to company policy etc.
Qualifications
* Time served Apprenticeship (or other recognised Training Scheme) in a relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical or Gas)
* BTEC National Certificate (or equivalent City & Guilds, NVQ/SVQ Level 3) in relevant engineering discipline (Instrumentation, Engineering, Chemical Engineering)
* Full and valid UK Driving Licence
* Experience of working in gas transmission operational technology
Desirable Quals
* Cyber security training.
* Experience in managing firewalls, managed switches etc.
* Experience in taking operational technology backups.
* Experience in following maintenance work procedures for Operational Technology.
* Membership of an appropriate institute.
