About the Role: As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to provide tailored support to children with SEND. This may involve one-on-one assistance, small group support, or adapting resources to meet individual learning needs. You will play a vital role in helping students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally within a mainstream school setting. Responsibilities: Providing personalised support to children with SEND to ensure they can fully access the curriculum. Assisting teachers in planning and delivering lessons that cater to diverse learning needs. Promoting inclusion and equal opportunities within the classroom. Supporting students in developing confidence, independence, and key skills. Helping to manage challenging behaviours and encouraging positive engagement in learning activities. Requirements: Experience working with children or adults with SEND, particularly social, emotional, or learning needs. Confidence in managing behaviours and implementing strategies to support individual needs. Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents. A commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Preferred Qualifications: Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
