In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities, ensuring that client needs are met while maintaining the highest standards of service delivery. Key Responsibilities: Negotiate and close sales opportunities to achieve and exceed sales targets in line with the strategic goals set by the Business Development Director. Build and maintain long-term professional relationships with existing, new, and prospective clients, ensuring exceptional after-sales support to foster mutual confidence and loyalty. Develop and manage an active sales pipeline, exploring opportunities in both existing and emerging markets. Use creative and innovative approaches to generate profitable new business. Take ownership of the creation and delivery of high-quality sales and tender documents, ensuring they meet company standards. Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, HR, QHS, etc.) to deliver compelling proposals. Represent the company at industry events and networking opportunities, promoting a professional and positive image at all times. Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments. Regularly update the Business Unit Leader and Sales Director on all sales activities, ensuring alignment on new business opportunities and compliance with internal processes. Adhere to company approval processes when pursuing new business deals. Maintain accurate records and documentation to support tenders, re-bids, and ongoing business activities. Address pre-qualification requests efficiently and professionally. Support the renewal and variation processes for existing client contracts. Person Specification: Education: Essential: A good standard of basic education. Experience: Essential: Proven experience in sales or business development within the facilities management industry. Experience in producing high-quality sales documents and delivering presentations to senior stakeholders. Familiarity with engaging diverse stakeholders, including site staff, suppliers, and clients. Skills and Aptitudes: Results-oriented, with a strong focus on achieving targets in a fast-paced sales environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a meticulous and methodical approach. Strong influencing skills, with the ability to inspire confidence in senior management through face-to-face, phone, and written communication. Character: Customer-focused, with a strong team spirit. Self-motivated, capable of working independently as well as collaboratively. Ability to prioritize tasks, make decisions under pressure, and support other areas of the business when needed. Circumstances: Flexibility to work outside regular office hours as required. Willingness to travel as needed.
