About the role The Generation Portfolio Office (GPO) provides Project/ Programme Delivery, Portfolio Management and Secretariat services for Senior Management at Drax Power Station. We’re now recruiting a highly motivated, proactive, and organised individual to provide daily administrative support to the Generation Leadership Team at Drax Power Station and the Scottish Assets and to co-ordinate key function wide business as usual (BAU) initiatives. Your role will involve diary management, travel bookings, meeting bookings and expenses facilitation for at least 2 of the Generation Leadership Team, as well as supporting the Senior Leadership Team with schedules, logistics, team co-ordination, ensuring that actions are sequenced appropriately and that they meet the required outcomes. We’re looking for an excellent communicator who can build a strong support network around them, to enable them to be effective in this role. This role will involve dealing with private, confidential and or sensitive information, so discretion, governance and clear audit trails will be required. It’s a great opportunity to gain exposure to wider business-related activities in a fast paced, operational environment. Who we’re looking for To be successful in this role, you’ll have experience of providing administrative support to a mid-size team. This will be combined with the ability to multi-task and prioritise balancing workload for multiple senior stakeholders, as well as anticipate actions that need to be carried out. You’ll also be able to identify challenges for the team and to assess how they might be overcome. Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook will be key for this role. Alongside demonstrating an approachable manner and strong interpersonal skills, you’ll have excellent networking and stakeholder management skills. You’ll be able to exercise confidentiality and build trust.
