Electrical Safety Test Engineer Ref. 940

Job Description:
This role is available full-time for 37 hours per week. Flexible or compressed working patterns available.
Working in our advanced manufacturing facility, you will use your existing skills and experience within a team of manufacturing engineers working on projects critical to protect national security.
You will use your skills and knowledge in areas such as evaluating bespoke products and documentation to the test standards, and writing and reviewing evaluation reports.
Responsibilities:
* Complete electrical safety evaluations and reports.
* Evaluate products and documentation to ensure they meet the requirements of applicable test standards.
* Ensure evaluations are completed to standard and within set timescales.
* Utilise your knowledge of processes and standards to develop and build the capability.
More About You:
To apply for this role, you will already have:
* A background in product safety testing.
* A clear understanding of safety engineering and assurance principles.
* Experience and knowledge in one or more electrical safety standards e.g. BS EN 62368, BS EN 61010, BS EN 60335.
* IT skills; particularly in Microsoft Office applications.
To strengthen your application, it would be beneficial if you also have:
* Experience of safety critical function design/development of electrical products.
* An understanding of different certification schemes.
* Ability to fault find down to component level.
