We are looking for a Social Value Assistant who has a passion to learn and a proactive attitude to support with social value events on our projects and in local communities. The role will report to the Social Value Coordinator and would be responsible for supporting and learning from the wider team.
This would include:
* Supporting the organisation and execution of activities specified in project social value plans.
* Ensuring that project social value data and evidence is collected and uploaded to the Social Value Portal accurately and on time each month.
* Engaging and encouraging the project teams and supply chain to support social value initiatives.
* Working with the internal marketing team to promote social value activity, including posting on social media.
* Producing resources around equality, diversity, inclusion and wellbeing initiatives.
* Supporting delivery of work experience placements and school engagement activities.
* Creating reports and case studies for social value activities.
* Undertaking client and local area research to contribute to bids and social value plans.
* Attending social value events and offering operational/logistical support.
* Having an understanding of the core principles of social value, including deprivation, social mobility, and EDI.
* Having a positive attitude towards and enthusiasm for improving social issues.
* The ability to collaborate and liaise with both internal and external stakeholders.
* Familiarity or willingness to become familiar with the Social Value Portal reporting system and National TOMs.
* The ability to meet tight deadlines.
* The ability to work individually and as part of a team.
