If you have a passion for employee relations and are eager to make a tangible impact, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Main duties of the job
As a key member of the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, you will be joining an exceptional team working together to help our patients stay healthy when they need it most. As our Senior Employee Relations (and Projects) Manager, you will line manage a number of Employee Relations Managers within the team. On a day-to-day basis, you'll be the go-to expert for all things ER. You will specialize in medical staffing cases (i.e., employee relations cases involving doctors and dentists). You will need to have an excellent working knowledge of the Maintaining High Professional Standards (MHPS) framework and be able to work closely with our Trust's Responsible Officer/Chief Medical Officer and Medical Directors. Leading a dedicated team, you'll tackle the most complex and sensitive cases, providing expert advice and guidance to managers and senior stakeholders across the Trust. Your role will be central in shaping and implementing HR strategies that align with our vision for high-quality, seamless services.
You’ll have the autonomy to lead Trust-wide HR projects, ensuring that every initiative is aligned with our corporate strategy and delivers real value to our workforce. This role is tailor-made for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment and who has a solid background in ER, particularly within the NHS. Your ability to communicate complex issues clearly, manage a team effectively, and stay ahead of legislative changes will be key to your success.
