Reports to the Financial Reporting Manager The Real Assets team works closely with clients to support investments into the development and rental / sale of residential, senior residential and student accommodation, as well as commercial and retail space across the UK. In this role, you will work within a small team of Accountants, assisting with the routine day-to-day accounting of fund structures under the direction of a Financial Reporting Manager. Key responsibilities: Maintaining accurate accounting records, including the preparation of routine journal entries, inputting invoices and assisting with payment processing in Yardi, eFront or Real Page Developing an understanding of the clients and industry, supporting the team in providing bespoke reporting within agreed deadlines to meet client needs Responsibility for routine deliverables such as monthly and quarterly bank reconciliations, including sourcing supporting documentation to evidence transactions Working with a small team of accountants, assisting with the preparation of management accounts and financial statements under IFRS, UK GAAP and / or Lux GAAP Assist with the completion of routine audit queries Assist in the preparation of VAT returns Skills, knowledge, expertise: A relevant Degree or A-Levels are preferred The candidate should have a desire to study towards a relevant professional qualification (supported by the Aztec Group) such as ACA or ACCA A good level of computer literacy skills are essential Excellent interpersonal skills are essential A strong team player We will provide the training, both in house for relevant technical knowledge and also for professional qualifications to enhance both your professional development and ability to provide sound accountancy services.
