An excellent opportunity has arisen for a committed and enthusiastic Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Bury. We are seeking a nurturing and proactive individual who is passionate about supporting children in the early stages of their education and eager to contribute to a positive and engaging learning environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils across all areas of the KS1 curriculum. You will assist in delivering high-quality learning experiences, provide targeted support to individuals and small groups, and play an active role in fostering pupils' academic, emotional, and social development. A good understanding of the KS1 curriculum, including phonics and early literacy, is highly desirable.
We are looking for someone who holds a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification and has prior experience working with young children, ideally within a school or early years setting. Strong communication skills, a flexible attitude, and a genuine enthusiasm for helping children succeed are essential qualities for this role.
In return, you will join a friendly and supportive team in a school that values continuous professional development and places the wellbeing of its staff and pupils at the heart of everything it does. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real and lasting impact in the lives of young learners.
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check and provide satisfactory references.
