Job overview
An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Nurse has arisen to join our Dermatology nursing team at Epsom General Hospital. Working as part of our highly effective Multidisciplinary team, the post holder will enhance the work of the team to provide a seamless service for the management of people with a range of Dermatology conditions.
Working across all aspects of care delivery in outpatient clinics, the post holder must have clinical knowledge of dermatology conditions and minor op procedures. You will be required to demonstrate comprehensive assessment skills, knowledge of evidence-based practice, and critical appraisal skills in applying theory to practice.
The successful candidates must be capable of working independently to provide evidence-based interventions to patients, demonstrating expert clinical skills and knowledge whilst promoting patient-focused care.
You will need to be a highly motivated individual with good interdisciplinary team-working skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential to provide professional specialist clinical support to medical and nursing staff in relation to respiratory patients.
While we are looking for an experienced registered nurse with experience within the Respiratory specialty, applicants with less experience would be encouraged and training would be provided.
Main duties of the job
As a member of the Dermatology Team, the post holder will provide a quality specialist service to Dermatology patients by conducting diagnostic clinics such as Photodynamic Therapy, Patch Testing and minor op procedures.
The post holder will also:
* Contribute to the provision of an effective nurse service ensuring delivery that is sensitive to patient need, innovative, and meets defined standards.
* Assist the Dermatology nurse specialists in the delivery of hospital follow-up care as appropriate and under supervision.
