An exciting opportunity has arisen within Garden Clinic Sexual Health Service, based at the Upton Hospital, Slough.
We are looking for someone to manage and lead the integrated sexual, reproductive health service and community HIV service in East Berkshire. The role will include operational management responsibility, ensuring that each of the three sites have the resources to deliver consistent care. The role is varied, and you will work closely with our finance, human resources, contracting, procurement and informatics teams as well as external services i.e. pathology, EPR provider and Healthcare at Home with ongoing SLA's and KPIs.
This post is a permanent, full-time post.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for working with the team to lead service redesign and initiatives that will lead to the delivery of improved clinical outcomes for patients, reduce waiting times and more efficient use of resources within the service area and will ensure appropriate support to help clinicians and all relevant professions to deliver those service projects.
To plan and implement and be accountable for a programme of continuous and evidence-based improvement in all aspects of the service area to ensure services are of a high quality, efficient, effective and patient focused.
Writing and development of business cases to support service expansion and or redesign.
Manage identified service improvement projects within agreed timeframes and financial targets.
Develop and maintain systems and processes to ensure that work is appropriately prioritised and allocated, and that effective supervision is in place to support work delegated to staff.
Manage difficult situations to achieve resolution across a range of situations including dealing with complaints and incidents to avoid escalation whenever possible.
Challenge existing practices, ensuring that progressive solutions, which consider models of best practices are incorporated into service plans.
Ensure that the services adapt and develop timely robust processes for new clinical requirements such as Monkey pox.
