We have a fantastic opportunity for a Group HSEQ Manager to lead our HSEQ team and play a critical role in improving HSE performance throughout the Group.
The Group HSEQ Manager will be responsible for all aspects of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Management. Working across the business to implement a strategic plan, strong HSEQ culture, policy and procedures, reporting, audit and compliance management.

The role will involve
* Promoting the HSEQ culture across the Group and developing the strategic plans for HSEQ activities to develop and improve the business.
* Assisting in ensuring compliance with, and reporting on adherence with our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) policy and framework.
* Maintaining the Group HSEQ management systems and ensuring adherence across all Group companies.
* Managing the HSEQ team – providing coaching, mentorship, and development opportunities to help team members develop, enhancing their contributions in role, whilst establishing clear performance goals aligned with HSEQ objectives.
* Overseeing the investigation and reporting on all accidents, incidents and near misses looking for root and systemic causes and identifying and implementing any remedial actions to prevent reoccurrence.
* Partnering with staff across the business, and supporting them in carrying out their roles and responsibilities for Safety & Health and implementing Safety, Health and Environmental Management System.
* Overseeing the process for the vetting and management of suppliers and contractors to ensure they are fully compliant with legislation and aligned with Group HSEQ policies and systems.
* Maintaining and ensuring adherence to the Group HSEQ management system for CDM 2015 and construction projects.
* Setting up and working with company HSEQ committees to influence, motivate and engage staff in HSEQ matters and work towards achieving a culture of high HSEQ standards across the Group.
* Keeping up to date with the latest HSEQ legislation and practices, and leading internal promotional and awareness raising activities, and the production of group-wide HSEQ bulletins, information and alerts as required.
* Ensuring all HSEQ lessons learned are communicated across the Group.
* Assisting management in identifying HSEQ training, promoting training programmes and conducting audits to ensure that this is kept up to date.
* Overseeing the setup, compliance and maintenance of internal and external audit processes of Group company integrated management systems (for example ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 etc).
* Ensuring a robust system of internal and external auditing is in place to manage and maintain quality systems, including customer complaint management, to ensure a culture of continuous improvement across all Group operations.
* Overseeing permitting and compliance with environmental legislation and licenses for all Group owned energy assets and ensuring a robust system of auditing is in place.
* Managing the compliance register for our assets and sites and overseeing adherence with required maintenance inspections, licenses and permits.
* Advising the board and senior management on key risks and improvement opportunities in relation to HSEQ.
What we are looking for
With a background of leading a HSEQ team ideally within an industrial, manufacturing, or other high-risk environment, our successful candidate will demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and experience:
* Occupational health and safety and/or environmental qualification (e.g. NEBOSH Certificate, IEMA Certificate).
* Full Driving Licence as this role will require travel to AMP sites across the UK.
* Extensive knowledge of health, safety and/or environmental legislation and a sound understanding of the HSE ISO standards e.g. ISO 45001, ISO 14001.
* Competence in project management, including planning, prioritising, and delivering under tight deadlines, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Ability to use a wide range of techniques to influence change at all levels of the organisation and will possess a well-structured, systematic approach with the ability to identify and analyse complex technical issues and understand risks to provide appropriate solutions.
* Experience of effectively managing budgets, cost control and financial reporting.
* Ability to demonstrate professional internal and external stakeholder management skills to drive business collaboration and build a high performing, commercially and customer focused safety culture.
* Excellent communicator with a natural ability for building and maintaining relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
* Ability to be pragmatic, flexible and display a people-centred approach.

* Location: Based at our Stirling or Fort William office.
* Competitive salary to be discussed at interview.
* Hours of work: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm (1-hour unpaid lunch).
* Contract Type: Permanent.
