Overview
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to join our team. The Compliance Officer will play a critical role in ensuring that our organisation adheres to all regulatory requirements and internal policies. This position is essential for maintaining the integrity of our operations and safeguarding our reputation within the industry. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of compliance management, regulatory reporting, and internal audits, particularly within the banking sector.
Duties
1. Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
2. Conduct regular internal audits to assess the effectiveness of compliance controls and identify areas for improvement.
3. Prepare and submit regulatory reports as required by governing bodies.
4. Monitor changes in legislation and regulations that may impact the organisation, ensuring timely updates to compliance practices.
5. Provide training and support to staff on compliance-related matters, fostering a culture of compliance throughout the organisation.
6. Collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment with compliance objectives and facilitate effective communication regarding compliance issues.
7. Investigate any compliance breaches or concerns, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
Skills
1. Strong knowledge of banking regulations and compliance management practices.
2. Proven experience in regulatory reporting and understanding of relevant legislation.
3. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to conduct thorough internal audits.
4. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills, ensuring accuracy in documentation and reporting.
5. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
6. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
7. Proficient in using compliance management software and tools.

Pay: £11.44-£13.00 per hour
