We are searching for an experienced Head of Buying that is looking for an amazing opportunity to join a high-growth brand with huge scope to evolve with the help of their knowledge and expertise. This position is open to candidates with 6+ years of experience in fashion buying (specifically moving from an already senior position currently), with a proven track record of successful planning, managerial skills and driving amazing trend-led and commercial ranges.
This role is office based at our HQ near Chester (CH5), working amongst a creative and visionary team, all striving towards taking the brand to the next level. We are looking for:
* Experience of 6+ years in fashion buying (specifically moving from an already senior position currently)
* Excellent leadership qualities, in an individual that approaches with positivity and passion in everything they do, with an infectious sense of enthusiasm towards both the Seekers brand and the product we create
* An experienced negotiation expert, that understands the complexity and importance of supplier relationship dynamics and will ensure we maintain our high standards at competitive margins
* Experience with responsibility for the overall Critical Path, with calendar timelines plotted and upkept and the expectation to lead weekly meetings with clear key takeaways that are allocated to specific team members, ensuring all dates are met on time
* Significant experience in strategic planning, with the ability to build buying strategies that align with creative and business goals, with vision that expands into long-term thinking and maintaining the brand identity at the core of all product mix
* An individual that has a talent for trendspotting and commercial decision making, with the ability to innovate and curate releases that fulfil the brand vision down to each individual product we create, alongside strong skills across both womenswear and menswear
* An excellent and confident communicator, with the ability to steer strategy and direction in line with the overall company vision and goals
* A confident decision maker, who will manage, lead & mentor the Product Team, spearheading expansion of the department in line with the growth of the company
* A fashion forward and creative individual, that aligns with the visions of the Creative Director and Brand owners, who you will report into
* An individual that will maintain and uphold our product identity and values, such as quality and attention to detail
* Significant experience in buying and sourcing, with a strong directory of contacts, supply sources and fabrics
* Excellent people management skills, with the ability to uplift productivity, develop confidence and skills within your team and provide recognition to highlight excellent work
* Someone who will build a strong and collaborative working relationship with Merchandising and Marketing teams, ensuring that strategies, ways of working and commercial decision-making align and complement each other
* Overseeing of budget and management of purchase orders, utilising the correct frameworks to ensure this is maintained in an efficient and organised manner across the team
* Provision and contribution of new ideas, new product development and new ways of working, to help take the brand to new heights
* Experience with overseeing SKU planning, Marketing liaison and strategizing with the e-commerce team to ensure we are maximising sales
* Knowledge of testing, ethical sourcing, audits, decision making and sustainability to ensure we uphold the highest of standards as we expand product ranges
* A knowledgeable and effective relationship builder, with the ability to create and uphold excellent supplier relationships, overseeing interactions within the team and travelling to suppliers/factories regularly to ensure the highest standards across all aspects of the product journey
* Excellent all-round product experience and knowledge, with the ability to instruct specific fabric details with dedicated and specialist suppliers
* Awareness of recent manufacturing options and techniques that would be beneficial to the Seekers brand, and showcase confident initiative to trial new things
