Position Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior FP&A Analyst to support our Head of FP&A in managing financial planning, reporting, and analysis within the UK & Ireland Retail business. This role will be pivotal in aligning strategy with performance management and will require collaboration with key stakeholders, including the UK&I Retail CFO, pillar Finance Directors, and the Group Finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
* Provide insights into business performance drivers, identifying risks and opportunities, and producing reports that assess future impacts.
* Interpret consolidated forecast numbers, analyse submitted forecasts, and derive insights to inform business decisions.
* Support month-end and year-end close processes, including variance analysis and performance reporting.
* Assist in planning and executing quarterly rolling forecasts and the annual budgeting process.
* Collaborate with the Head of FP&A on crafting detailed presentations for quarterly, half-yearly, and ad-hoc reporting to the Group.
* Address ad-hoc requests from Group Finance and various subsidiaries within the UK&I Retail business.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial planning and analysis and implement best practices.
* Aid in the rollout and support of Anaplan and its maintenance alongside planning and reporting tools.
Management Information and Reporting:
* Assist in the timely production of management and financial accounts.
* Provide relevant financial management information and performance trend analysis to ensure stakeholders receive timely insights for effective decision-making.
Leadership:
* Mentor and support other members of the FP&A team, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Experience & Professional Qualifications:
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
* Proven experience in building FP&A models with clear ownership.
* Background as a Finance Business Partner, ideally in the Insurance Broker or similar financial services industry.
* Highly numerate with the ability to transform data into actionable insights to tackle business challenges and inform proposals.
* Familiarity with multiple accounting and reporting systems.
* Advanced skills in Anaplan, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
