Job Title: Senior Cricket Development Coach

The Role
The Senior Cricket Development Coach (SCDC) supports the Sports Development Manager with developing and delivering all aspects of the Cricket Academy delivered in partnership with Nelson & Colne College and Accrington and Rossendale College. The SCDC is also responsible for leading and supporting the delivery of our community-based cricket provision and sports participation within Burnley and the surrounding areas.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Plan, deliver and evaluate cricket sessions to ensure high standards and customer service is maintained.
2. Support the delivery of national cricket programmes in partnership with the Lancashire Cricket Foundation.
3. Coordinate staffing and delivery of cricket sessions and other sports development sessions, ensuring financial viability and sustainability.
4. Support the marketing and promotion of cricket programmes, including distribution of flyers and attending open evenings.
5. Undertake appropriate administrative duties related to cricket development initiatives, such as maintaining attendance registers, organizing fixtures, transport, and dealing with petty cash.
6. Deliver cricket coaching sessions and support classroom-based education workshops when required.
7. Explore growth opportunities with the Sports Development Manager for cricket provision related to the project area.
8. Liaise with colleagues and key partners to promote cricket projects to new and existing participants.
9. Provide exit routes, including coaching or playing opportunities for graduating cricket Academy players/students.
10. Monitor and evaluate cricket development projects and the impact of delivery, logging key data on Salesforce.
11. Understand and implement the Charity’s Safeguarding policy and procedures, ensuring safe working practices and appropriate reporting of concerns.
12. Work flexible hours as required by the role.
