We are seeking a confident, professional communicator with sharp administrative and operational skills and a keen eye for detail to join our client in Thetford as an Internal Sales Coordinator. This is a permanent, full-time working 36.25 hours per week from 8:30 – 17:00 Monday to Thursday and 08:30 – 14:15 each Friday. Salary details can be made available on request.

The Job
Joining the existing team of 4 Internal Sales Coordinators, and reporting to the Business Development Director, this new addition to the team will be responsible for producing timely accurate quotations, meeting customer specifications and requirements. At times, taking information directly from the customer, and other times on larger projects, via the Area Sales Managers of Business Development Director.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Reading of technical specifications to interpret the product requirements and collaborate with colleagues to understand technical requirements
Provide prompt and accurate quotations ensuring details are correct and checked prior to issue
Record and store quotations raised on the company reporting database system.
Provide clear, professional customer service to all customers across all communication channels
Answering the telephone and responding to email enquiries
Process order acknowledgements and deal with general department/role-specific administration
On larger quotations work closely with the Area Sales Manager in providing technical submissions and being the internal point of contact for that project.
Through effective communication with the customer understand larger schemes and note any delivery, logistics and/or sequencing that may be required.
Communicate positively and follow up initial communications for additional information if required
After quotations are issued be proactive and politely chase for quotation feedback, gaining as much information as possible from the customer.
When projects are won and ordered, complete project handover sheets, check order acknowledgements for accuracy and liaise with Customer Services to ensure a smooth transition from Sales to Production.
Work and cooperate with other departments within the business to ensure best customer service is given including, engineering, accounts, purchasing, production development, manufacturing and site services.
Requirements
This position would suit somebody efficient and organised who enjoys working in a busy, customer-facing role. You’ll need to have a confident, professional communication style for working with customers and colleagues as well as sharp administrative capabilities including IT literacy, an excellent phone manner and a high standard of writing, with accurate spelling and grammar.
Other essential requirements:
Previous experience in a related industry; construction, M&E, engineering
Used to interpreting customer requirements to provide quotations
Ability to use Microsoft Excel to a reasonable standard
A flexible, adaptable approach to your workload with the ability to effectively prioritise tasks
Ability to remain organised and clear when working under pressure/time constraints
Good team player and communicator
Excellent organisational skills
Good numeracy, literacy and computer skills
