The Role
Festival Hall is one of Melbourne’s iconic heritage listed music venues located in West Melbourne. As the Event and Ticketing Coordinator you will have the unique opportunity of working in one of Melbourne’s favourite venues providing support to the management team across ticketing, marketing, F&B and other venue requirements. Your exceptional skills and proven experience will drive the company goals and ensure the effective, efficient and productive running of the venue’s event calendar.
Responsibilities
Events & Ticketing
1. Co-ordinate ticketing requirements for events with our ticketing agent, Ticketmaster, and ensure an efficient on sale, and ongoing support for all ticketing requirements.
2. Assist Event Manager in rostering of event staff, security, and services.
3. Assist with the production and distribution of event documentation.
4. Assist with the recruitment and training of all Front of House casuals.
5. Support the effective and efficient operation of the F&B and merchandise operations.
6. Deliver events and functions as nominated by the Event Manager.
7. Create and run Risk Assessments for designated events and produce post-event reports.
8. Maintain and update events in database system.
9. Assist with the cover of the role of Event Manager when that person is on leave.
10. Develop positive working relationships with tour managers, promoters and all other staff of visiting touring groups.
Marketing
1. Manage and maintain the Festival Hall website, ensuring ticketing, event information and general venue updates are always up to date.
2. Manage social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok), planning and scheduling onsale information and event specific information.
3. Lead contact for venue hirers and internal teams (ticketing, bookings), managing event marketing schedules.

1. Exceptional attention to detail, time management and prioritisation skills to deliver outcomes accurately and on time.
2. Provide an effective and efficient service to our clients and customers.
3. Independently motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously within an ever-changing environment.
4. Proficient IT skills including the Microsoft Office suite.
5. Strong leadership skills that can draw out the best in people.
6. Able to work nights, weekends and public holidays as required.
7. Knowledge of ticketing and ticketing systems (preferred).
8. Event Coordinating experience (preferred).
