We currently have the following opportunity: Technician (Fixed Term until 30 June 2025) - PKC12419 £14,753 - £15,804 (18 Hours per week) St John's RC Academy, Perth We are looking to recruit a part time School/Campus Technician who would contribute to the preparation, repair and maintenance of materials and equipment for the School and Campus. The role will require you to support the Design, Engineering and Technology department with the preparation of materials e.g. timber, metal and plastics while ensuring Health & Safety Regulations are being adhered to and set up rooms with audio/visual equipment for school and campus users. You will support our Senior Technician with set up of ICT for exams and will provide some support to our Science department. Our 2-18 all-through school provides education for over one thousand children and young people from nursery to S6. Skills & Experience Required You should be adaptable, self-motivated, and have a track record of forming and developing excellent relationships and collaborative working practices. You should have excellent communication skills and have experience of positively engaging colleagues, the public and external partners. Ideally you will have technical and general repairs and maintenance skills. You must be adaptable and be able to work on your own initiative. Ideally you will have experience within a school or campus environment. It would be desirable if you: Have knowledge and experience of working within a science environment. Hold either an SVQ Level 3 or SCQF Level 6 in Science or equivalent qualification. Are familiar with COSHH regulations and with the safe handling of chemicals. You must be able to cope with the demands of the job and attend on a regular basis. You must have an awareness of Health and Safety issues as they affect you and others and comply with all relevant Health and Safety legislation. You must be able to demonstrate that you can work with a focus on customer needs both for the School and Campus users You will be committed to promoting our values of fairness, achievement, respect and love through being an outstanding role model for others.
