Octric Semiconductor is a new name in the compound semiconductor foundry space. Its devices are used in mission critical defence and commercial applications.
For over 25-years, we have shipped over 1.5 billion devices from our site to date.
Octric has ambitious plans to grow the company and expand with new products and applications, and the company is developing a 10-year investment plan. We now have a bright new path ahead of us following the recent significant investment from the UK Ministry of Defence. As a part of an emerging semiconductor cluster in the northeast, we are focussed on developing advanced technology, focussed on the next generation of semiconductors. We are looking to fill a number of exciting roles across device design and innovation through to manufacturing & reliability.
Located in Newton Aycliffe, UK, we occupy a 10,000 m2 purpose-built Class 100 manufacturing facility fully equipped to produce state of the art compound semiconductor product.

PURPOSE OF ROLE:
The role of Senior Program Manager is pivotal in our organization, serving as a driving force for the strategic planning, implementation, and success of all our programs and initiatives. As a Senior Program Manager, you will oversee multiple projects, providing leadership, direction, and support to ensure alignment with our objectives and goals. SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Developing and implementing project and program strategies and objectives
* Managing program budgets and resources
* Overseeing the day-to-day operations of various programs
* Coordinating with stakeholders to ensure program alignment with organizational goals
* Monitoring and evaluating program performance and outcomes
* Providing leadership and direction to your teams across the organisation.
* Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards
* Identifying and mitigating program risks
* Facilitating communication and collaboration among team members
* Preparing and presenting program reports to senior management
* Securing funding and managing grant applications
* Developing and maintaining program policies and procedures
* Conducting program needs assessments and feasibility studies
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Experience
* At least 10 years experience in a manufacturing environment
* Extensive experience in program management or related roles
Key Skills
* Proven track record of successful program implementation
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
* Experience in budget management and financial analysis
* Familiarity with grant writing and funding procurement
* Proficiency in project management software and tools
* Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
* Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Education/Qualifications
BSc in Engineering, physics or other relevant field. Higher degree in business administration desirable
